Ponderosa Pine
Pinus ponderosa


One of the most widely dispersed timber trees in North America. A stately tree with open branches in spirelike crown, and some of the longest needles among pines -- 7 to 11". Mature trees have distinctive yellow-orange bark coloring. Large landscape area tree will reach 50 feet in 50 years, eventually to 150 feet or more.
