The Drye Inholding is approximately 20 miles southeast of Flagstaff, Arizona. Access from Flagstaff is by Interstate 40 east 18 miles to Exit 219, thence south seven miles to Forest Road 233, and then west one mile to the property.

Description
The Drye Inholding consists of 160.48± deeded acres and is a private property island completely surrounded by the Coconino National Forest at an elevation of 6,400'. The inholding's topography is level to gently rolling with three earthen tanks on the property, the largest being Reeves Tank. Vegetation is pinon-juniper with native grasses. Most of the property was pulled years ago to allow the native grasses to thrive; the Jacket Fire also burned portions of the inholding in 2004. Multiple species of wildlife are in the area and are drawn to the earthen tanks on the property for water. The property does not have utilities, however cellular service does work. Views of the surrounding mountains and mesas are grand, particularly of the San Francisco Peaks.

The Drye Inholding offers a rare opportunity to acquire one of the fast disappearing deeded inholdings in northern Arizona. This property has changed hands only a few times since Henry Reeves homesteaded the property to try his luck at dryland bean farming in 1928, the remnants of the homestead are still visible.
