As a fourth generation southeastern Arizona rancher, Walter is intimately familiar with Cochise, Graham and Pima County ranches.  He has been actively selling ranch properties for over 29 years in this area.  Walter also manages several ranches and understands the ins and outs of the livestock business.  He has been associated with Headquarters West, Ltd. since 1990 and has recently become the Designated Broker for the company.

Liberty Ranch

The Liberty Ranch is located in the Sulphur Springs Valley of Cochise County, Arizona. Access is via the Kansas Settlement Road south from Willcox. The property is located approximately 14 \miles south of Willcox and lies along the southern edge of the Willcox Playa, a prehistoric lake bed. The area is known for the quality of its grazing and its winter population of Sandhill Cranes that attract viewers from many areas.

The Liberty Ranch consists of approximately 1,917 acres of deeded land. The property will carry approximately 60 head of cattle on an annual basis. The owner grazes an additional 640 acres which may be available for use by a new owner.

The Ranch was a noted guest ranch in the 1930's and the book "Bar Nothing Ranch" by Rosemary Taylor (1947) was written about those times.
